The Public Enterprises Selection Board recommends Sharma from a competitive pool for the key HR position at the Ministry of Defence PSU.
AB News Desk: Vineet Sharma is poised to take on the role of Director (Human Resources) at Yantra India Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. His appointment comes after the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) recommended him for the position on March 3, 2025.
A 1996-batch officer of the Indian Ordinance Factories Service (IOFS), Sharma currently serves as Executive Director at Ordnance Factory Muradnagar (OFM). He emerged as the top choice from a competitive shortlist of nine candidates interviewed during the PESB Selection Panel’s 14th Meeting of 2025.
Among the nine candidates considered, four were from the IOFS, while the remaining included three representatives from NTPC Limited and two from SAIL.
In his new capacity as Director (HR) at Yantra India Limited, Sharma will join the Board of Directors, reporting directly to the Chairman and Managing Director. He will oversee critical HR functions, including workforce planning, policy development, performance management, compensation, succession planning, talent development, training, employee services, industrial relations, corporate social responsibility, security, and legal affairs within the organization.
