AB Desk, New Delhi: Nayantara Sasikumar, a 2012 batch officer of the Indian Economic Service (IES), has been appointed as the Joint Director in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, in New Delhi.
Ms. Sasikumar is currently serving as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Planning & Transformation Department of the Government of Nagaland. Her tenure in Nagaland has been marked by significant contributions to strategic planning and transformational initiatives in the state.
In her new role at the Ministry of MSME, she is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping policies and programs aimed at fostering the growth and development of India’s MSME sector, which is a critical driver of the nation’s economy.
This appointment underscores her expertise and commitment to economic policymaking and development, reflecting her trajectory as an accomplished officer in the IES cadre.
