
AB Desk, New Delhi: A man was apprehended by the Delhi Police on Saturday for allegedly recording videos of women in the washroom of a government hospital in Northwest Delhi. The accused, who worked for a WiFi cable network, is being investigated to confirm his age after claiming to be a juvenile, police said.
Abhishek Dhania, DCP Northwest, stated, “A complaint has been obtained from the hospital, and an FIR has been registered. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused, a resident of Northeast Delhi, would place his phone in the women’s washroom located in the OPD to secretly record videos.”
Police recovered around 10 videos from the accused’s mobile phone. However, the accused has not provided a clear explanation for travelling a significant distance to commit the act.
The hospital administration has expressed concern over the incident, stating that steps are being taken to ensure the safety and privacy of patients and staff.
Further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the crime and determine if more people were involved.
