Jaspreet Kaur Appointed as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change

AB Desk, New Delhi (18.11.2024): Jaspreet Kaur, an IAS officer of the 2013 batch from the Manipur cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Delhi. Her tenure in this role is set for a period of four years.

The announcement followed the approval of his appointment by President Droupadi Murmu.

Kaur brings extensive administrative experience from her tenure in the Manipur cadre and is expected to play a pivotal role in driving the ministry’s key initiatives on environmental sustainability, forest conservation, and climate change policy.

Her appointment reflects the government’s focus on appointing dynamic officers to lead critical portfolios, emphasizing the importance of environmental and climate-related issues in national governance.
