We welcome articles that explore Asian countries within a global framework and examine Western foreign policies impacting Asia.

Article Topics, Types & Lengths:

APEX BULLETIN offers diverse content, including original reporting, in-depth analysis, and commentary. Our coverage spans a wide array of subjects—from security and economic matters to domestic developments within Asian nations, bilateral and multilateral dynamics, and overarching geopolitical trends. Our goal is to capture the full complexity and richness of Asia’s realities.

These articles broadly fall into two categories:

Blogs and Features.

• Blogs: 600-1500 words, may be a summary of a recent news event, an analysis of an ongoing trend, an op-ed, or other such brief reports.
• Features: 1200-2000 words, generally includes original reporting or unique analysis. More in-depth than a blog.

We accept only original photographs, interviews, and opinion pieces. We’re open to creative ideas, so feel free to pitch us and see where it goes!

Style: APEX BULLETIN embraces a variety of writing styles, and our editors work to retain the unique voices of our authors. However, please keep in mind the following guidelines:

• We generally adhere to Associated Press (AP) Style, with certain in-house modifications.
• American English spellings and conventions should be used.
• Include hyperlinks for all relevant sources; please avoid footnotes or endnotes.
• Refrain from using academic terms and formats, such as literature reviews or phrases like “this author’s research…” or “in this article, we will examine…”
• Avoid using “we” or “our” to refer to any specific country, as APEX BULLETIN does not align with or represent any single nation.

Graphics: We welcome original images, graphs, and charts. Please do not include any visuals sourced from other publications unless you hold the necessary copyright and permission to republish them. If your piece is accepted, we may request the raw data for any charts or graphs, as we often redesign graphics in-house to align with our publication style.

Compensation: APEX BULLETIN offers payment to our regular contributors, and typically compensates guest authors only for original feature articles. If you’re seeking compensation, please specify this in your pitch. Preference is given to pieces that include original reporting and in-depth analysis. Payment arrangements must be confirmed with the editor before publication.
