INDIAN AIR FORCE COMMANDERS’ CONFERENCE 2024: STRENGTHENING MULTI-DOMAIN WARFARE READINESS 

Air Chief Marshal Ap Singh Leads Discussions On Operational Excellence And Atmanirbhar Bharat

J.Roy, AB News, New Delhi: The Western Air Command (WAC) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) held its annual Commanders’ Conference on December 6 and 7, 2024, in New Delhi, showcasing a commitment to advancing military readiness in an evolving global landscape. The esteemed Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), graced the occasion as the chief guest, where he was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour upon arrival by Air Marshal PM Sinha, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of WAC.

The two-day conference brought together commanders from various domains of the WAC Area of Responsibility (AoR) to engage in critical discussions regarding the IAF’s preparedness for emerging challenges. Central to this year’s dialogue was the theme “Bharatiya Vayu Sena – Sashakt, Saksham, Atmanirbhar,” underscoring the IAF’s collective strength and self-reliance.

During his address, CAS AP Singh urged the commanders to enhance training initiatives, noting the necessity of achieving a proficiency in multi-domain warfare capabilities. “Our focus must be on operational excellence, ensuring we are always ready to respond to any call of duty while upholding our core values of Mission, Integrity, and Excellence,” he emphasized.

Singh highlighted various key areas for focused progress, including:

1. Enhanced Operational Capability: Emphasizing the importance of meticulous training and advanced planning in responding to modern warfare demands.

2. Seamless Integration of New Equipment: Accelerating the operationalization of newly inducted technology and assets to maintain tactical superiority.

3. Safety and Security Metrics: Prioritizing safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment in all operational settings.

4. Leadership Development: Fostering a culture of empowerment among leaders at all levels to cultivate a cohesive and future-ready force.

The CAS commended the WAC for its exemplary role as first responders in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations, both domestically and internationally. He recognized their commitment to maintaining high operational standards, affirming the IAF’s status as a formidable fighting force at the ready.

As the Indian Air Force continues to evolve in response to global challenges, the insights from the Commanders’ Conference 2024 are set to lay a robust foundation for the future, ensuring the IAF remains prepared, capable, and resolute.
