Government Appointments Announced

AB News Desk, New Delhi, 14 November 2024 – The Government of India issued key appointment notifications on Thursday, assigning senior officials to various critical roles across departments and diplomatic postings. The details are as follows:

  1. Adarsh K R Urs (IDAS: 2010) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Space, Bengaluru for a tenure of five years.
  2. Manasa Gangotri Kata (IRS C&IT: 2007) has been named Director in the Department of Financial Services, Delhi, also for a five-year term.
  3. Anoopa Sankarankutty Najr (IES: 2010) will serve as Director in the Department of Commerce, Delhi for a similar period of five years.
  4. Himanshu Kaushik (IAS: 2018: AP) has been assigned as Additional Private Secretary to the Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, B L Verma. His tenure will be on deputation/co-terminus basis with the Minister. Himanshu Kaushik belongs to the Andhra Pradesh cadre of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) from the 2018 batch. His responsibilities in this role will include assisting the Minister in administrative, policy-related, and operational matters, ensuring the smooth functioning of the office.
  5. Rahul Shrivastava (IFS: 1999) has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Namibia.
